2 sets of tanks / Sewer Solution vs Macerator

My next mod is to start with community feedback so I am starting it in this forum. I have two issues that need to be thought about before I make this mod.

First off, I am really thinking of installing a macerator or the sewer solution which is a water macerator. Cost looks great for the sewer solution but want to get feedback of others whom have used it.

Second part - I have a two sets of dump tanks, black/grey in front and rear (Hurricane 35C). I currently use a Y adapter but always get back flow when dumping . It's very hard to finish with grey and get both hoses clean.

I am thinking that if I use the 3/4'' hose of either solution, then I can add a second plug in the sewer cap and not have any 'Y' adapter.

So any help would help.

I'm just going to throw this out there. After having macerators on my larger boats for many years I was thrilled when I discovered that 5th wheels and MH's don't generally come equipped with them. They tend to get plugged and/or wear out and leave you with full black tanks when you really need to dump.

I am not a big fan of the power washer which are built into most black tanks either. I use a Flush King on the end of my sewer boom. I can back flush each tank separate as many times as I want. Never odor problems and never anything to fail.

Sewer Solution all the way

I switched to Sewer Solution many months ago, and I am very pleased with it. I grew to hate the 3" hoses which is why I switched. Now, as a side benefit, I can leave the gray tank dump valve open throughout my stay, because I no longer need gray tank water to flush my hose after dumping the black tank, and as a result, I don't worry about the gray tank backing up into the shower! Dumping the black tank goes quickly although I never timed that chore before or after installing Sewer Solution, so I cannot say that it is faster. It certainly cleans out the hose to the park's sewer line, because by design it uses clean water running at approximately 50 psi. Further, I have a clear section of "pipe" connected to the common dump valve outlet, and I can see that the contents of the black tank broken up thoroughly as it passes through the Sewer Solution.

I have a tornado on my black tank. Thus I leave the grey tank valve open all the time when on FHU sites. The tornado allows for flushing both the tank out and the hose.

Sewer Solutions has been great for us. 50,000 plus miles, 200 plus campgrounds/1,000 plus nights on two motor homes and not ONE failure. Combined with Happy Camper I can dump black tank without water pressure if necessary. Using water pressure it will dump uphill a foot or more. All original parts still in use. Want longer dump hose - use 1" PVC pipe- no glue needed for slip joint connections - for long runs or 3/4 inch garden hose (50 foot 3/4" about $20 at Harbor Freight.)

Excuse a dumb question, but is the clear pipe a 3inch on the grey/black output?

I have a Miramar 34.1 with two black and 2 gray tanks also. I have been fighting this sewer problem since I boutht mine over 2 years ago and spent a bunch of $$$ on different solutions.

I was trying to come up with some way to connect the two sets of tanks permentaly but we have a problem getting over the reared housing.

I would be interested in any suggestions.

I know that the new Fleetwood MH's with bath and a half uses either a macerator toilet or a waste pump in the rear bath which sends all black waste to a single black tank. Could be a mod for a Thor bath and half coach if there is a good path to get from rear bath to mid bath black tank.
