2005 Kodiak 216 Generator size for AC

We just bought a 2005 Kodiak 216 and are trying to figure out what size generator would be necessary to run AC only. Don't want to get too big or spend too much as the generator is only going to be used once a year. Seems that it calls for a 3.5kW, seems big.

Thanks!

Hard to say without looking at the power requirement the air conditioner. Look at the identification plate as it should specify how much power is required.

When you consider the Power Factor (inductive or capacitive), you are likely to see about a 20Amp output of the 3.5Kw generator, give or take.
