2013 Thor ACE 30.1 Toilet Replacement

I really dislike the toilet in our 2013 Thor ACE 30.1 motorhome. It sits on a platform, and at 5'1" it is difficult to use. We placed a stool on the floor in front of the toilet to make it easier to mount the toilet, however, the stool takes up space and is in the way.
Has anyone changed the toilet to one that is on the floor in a motorhome of this type? What would be the potential difficulties that could arise with such a modification? There is a heat duct that comes through the platform, so this may add to the problem.

I made a stool for the toilet with a piano hinge so it easily folds towards the toilet to be out of the way when not in use. I’m not sure if they make a toilet that is low enough to sit comfortably.

A low profile toilet is about 2-3” shorter than a standard. Expect to pay around $250 for the toilet, if you do your own install.

What I was wondering about was removing the platform and installing a regular RV toilet on the floor. The concern would be whether one would have to modify the plumbing.

I suspect you would have to modify the black tank. It may be there to provide room for the heater vents as well.

Would you be willing to post a photo or two of your creation?
Thank you

Here is what we are using now. I’m going to make a new one that will that will have the hinge on the left side so it will lift up and rest against the wall when we don’t need it.

Wow
I have a 2012 ACE 29.2 and im 6 foot tall and the toilet height is is just uncomfortable.
I'm looking in to a low profile unit currently.
I would remove the pedestal however this is the black water tank.
It doesn't appear the tank can be lowered due to all the pumps below it e.g. fresh water and macerator.
It looks like there maybe room for another lower profile tank next to the gray tank however I'm not sure if you could get it to drain properly from the toilet.
May just have to build a box in front not sure and my wife hates it.

OK, I'm trying a little different design for my "pooping" stool. This one folds up to the wall so you have a little more room at the sink. It doesn't look that pretty when folded up, but hey, it's in the bathroom. I'll let my DW decide which one she likes the best.
