2014 palazzo inverter

Ran inverter yesterday on trip home. Today refrigerator will not come on. Batteries will not charge through magnum display, says no communication with inverter. I did soft reset with shore unpluged and nothing. Shouldn't refrigerator work on shore power anyway? How do I do hard reset? TIA

I disconnected the shore power and batteries for 1min. Connected all back and no difference. Have done the soft reset 3 times. Display will not charge batteries or give any information. All breakers inside have been checked. Is there any other breakers outside or under coach to check. Tv's and lights work but no fridge or micro even with generator on. Very confused as green light on inverter is fast blinking like manual says it should

This may help
Performing an Inverter Reset on Thor Palazzo

To perform an inverter reset (i.e., "soft reset"):

1. Remove all AC power (utility or generator power) to the inverter.
2. Press and hold the inverter's Power ON/OFF pushbutton (see Figure 6-1) for approximately fifteen (15) seconds—until the inverter's Charging/Inverting Status LED comes on and fl ashes rapidly.
3. Once the rapid flashing has begun, release the Power ON/OFF pushbutton. The Status LED will go off after the button is released.
4. After the inverter reset is completed, press the inverter's Power ON/OFF pushbutton to turn on the inverter.
5. Some older inverter models do not allow an inverter reset. If the inverter reset fails, you will need to perform a power reset using the procedure below. In either case, if an internal fault does not clear the inverter will require repair at a Magnum Authorized Service Center (ASC).

Info: The Power ON/OFF pushbutton is a small momentary type
switch which operates by lightly pressing and releasing.
Info: All adjustable inverter/charger settings in the ME-RC (except
for the SHORE menu's Shore Max and SETUP menu's 08 Screen Set-
up settings (which revert back to default) are saved in non-volatile
memory and are preserved until changed—even if an inverter reset
is performed, or if all power to the remote or inverter is removed.

Performing a Power Reset
To perform a power reset (i.e., "hard reset"):

1. Remove all AC power (utility or generator power) to the inverter. Open all the inverter DC disconnects (or disconnect the positive battery cable to the inverter).
2. Ensure the inverter and the remote are disconnected from all AC and DC power (the remote display will be blank).
3. After the inverter has been disconnected from all power for 30 seconds, reconnect the inverter DC disconnects (or reconnect the positive battery cable) and resume operation.

Info: If DC disconnects are not used, there may be a momentary spark when the positive battery cable is connected to the inverter's terminal. This is normal and indicates that the inverter's internal capacitors are being charged.

1. Ensure all AC power (i.e., shore-power or generator) is removed from the inverter's input.
2. Press and hold the Power ON/OFF pushbutton for 15 seconds.
3. Watch the Charging/Inverting Status LED, after approximately 15 seconds it should come on and flash rapidly to indicate the inverter has reset. The Status LED will go off after the pushbutton is released.

Hmmm.... When I disconnect shore power inverter light goes off like no power. Could my batteries be too dead to charge?

Aren't there breakers/Hard Reset on the inverter itself?

your fridge and micro are the only two devices that are powered by the Inverter, and the televisions, though your bedroom tv is likely 12v... all outlets are also on the inverter.

if breakers are not tripped, then shore or gen both ‘should’ still power these since the Inverter is simply ‘passing thru’ 120v power. If still not, then it sounds like the Inverter’s internal relay is not working, but also the ‘no comm’ comes into play, as this may defeat the relay for safety reasons.

I would push and hold for ten seconds the physical push button on the side of the inverter itself, to reset it...

if no difference, then try unplugging the ‘comm’ cable from the side of the inverter, like a phone cable, probably gray... and then replug.

Thanks everyone. After hours of effort, battery charging, and searching I finally found the problem. I called magnum twice for help and the second lady asked me to check voltage at the inverter not the lug the wire to the converter went to. I reached in there to pull the plastic caps off and felt the battery wire connected move. Took off caps and tightened the wires and the world is whole again!!!!

I guess that's a good reason for the 'No Communications' error code... now we know! : )
