2016 Hurricane 27K vs 2015 model

I just discovered something while looking at the floor plans of the Hurricane 27K for both 2015 and 2016 (the model year we recently purchased).

The shower enclosure on the 2016 was shaved by 2 inches in each direction!

The 2015 model has a 24" x 36" shower - tiny enough already. But the 2016 floor plan shows the shower to be 22" x 34".

No wonder it feels even "cozier!"

I wonder where those extra inches went??

Our 2115 27K has enough room for a comfortable shower. 2 inches less all around would make a big difference. We have a 24 niche bedroom TV, the 2116 has a 32. That why they cut down the shower. Plus the hall linen closet is deeper. There goes another 2 inches.

Yes, we do have a larger TV in the bedroom. I still think trimming the shower stall area isn't the best idea. Surely there were other areas where they could have done some nips and tucks instead of shaving off valuable space in an already-too-cozy area.

We plan to remove the sliding glass door in the near future and install an expandable bump out shower curtain rod to give us a bit more elbow room. Wanted to get some warranty issues taken care of before doing any mods.
