2017 Hurricane Driving Question

First, let me say that this is only our 3rd trip out with our RV. My question is, can we drive with the kitchen side windows open or do all coach windows need to be closed?

I don't know if this is officially addressed anywhere, but my rule has always been: Crank-out windows should be shut when traveling, sliding windows can be open.

Doesn’t Thor address in a caution or Warning in the owners manual? My Challenger’s manual did. You might want to check your manual

Never travel with crank out windows open as the mechanism is not strong enough to handle winds over 60 mph We often open the sliding windows when cruising. Just be aware that if there are passing trucks on a two lane highway, and the left side window is open, the truck's bow wave will cause significant change in the interior air pressure in the coach causing your ears to pop (a headache will soon appear). The right-side sliding window does not cause a problem except for the highway noise.

For me, it is way to noisey to travel with the windows open in my RV.
