I leave with a full tank of fuel in case I am delayed due to a road closure.
I stand a much better chance than the optimist who thinks he can get there with half a tank.

It seems odd to some, but I am pessimistic, and often confounded and wrong(which makes me happy).

There are hobby pessimists. They get the attention because they piss and moan.
Then there're the professionals. We're a pretty happy little cast and crew.

Christmas card arrived today from my sister in law --- "when 2020 deals you sh*t, make snowmen." Inside was a photo of a a "snowman" created out of a pile of horse manure. Quite the good one from one devoted horsewoman to another; old hags with old nags. Both of use shovel lots of it every single day.

Just think, the days will get longer and brighter from here! Hopefully 2021 will be brighter too, but who knows. DH & I just keep getting older and slower.
