2020 Miramar 35.3

We recently purchased a 2020 Miramar 35.3 (only had one week). Unit has been parked in our driveway leveled and and we decided to take it to fill up the gas tank for our first trip. When we retracted the jacks we got a major water leak at the passenger area. It pour out about a 1/2 gallon of water. Trying to determine were it would be holding that much water. Please note that the AC was not on and it had not rain in days.

More or less our rig.

Passenger side mean up front by the engine or in the area of your sink/frig?

Yeah, define "passenger area". Is it inside the rig or outside? The awning can hold quite a bit of water and release it when coming off the levelers.

We had some problems with water getting in and pooling on top of the closed dinette/sofa slide on the 2018 37.1 we had. If we didn’t check the top of the slide before retracting the jacks, the water would pour off the slide, usually down my back since I’d be sitting in the driver seat to operate the jacks. It could sit there a few days before evaporating.

It turned out that Thor couldn’t read the installation instructions published by Carefree for the slide awning and installed a slide that was 4” too narrow, so water would get on top of the seal, find a slightly less compressed area of the seal, drip on top of the slide and start pooling.

I was able to duplicate it by pulling a hose up onto the roof and simulating a heavy rain right near the rear end of the slide awning. Our bedroom slide had similar problems and it went away when I installed the correct size awning (per Carefree’s measurements), which overhung the slide flanges by 2” on each side. I never got around to replacing the dinette/sofa slide awning and would have done it this spring if we had kept the unit.

Thanks everyone for you quick reply. The dealership has fixed the problem promptly. The water was entering by the awning wires. It was not sealed properly.
