I did that: When I re-did the counter that outlet is now providing power to the new induction burners.

Maybe it's the pic, but it looks like it steps up a little where mine is actually steps down.

I just looked up the specs for the 2021 Thor Vegas 24.1 and it shows an external 32 inch tv.

I just typed in 2021 Thor Vegas 24.1 and got the specs online, not from Thor.

I’m not following your comment. Is yours a similar Class A?

Ford information originally suggested V8 engine was a couple of inches narrower per side, so I expected a new doghouse to be similar in shape, but narrower from floor up so there would be more room to step around doghouse. And what I see in these before-and-after Class As are doghouses that appear the same width at floor level. It could be an optical illusion due to picture angle — hard to say.

If the doghouse floor opening is the same (or close to same), Ford or Thor may have wanted more room to reach down to work on engine. Who knows? Without access to all information, it’s difficult to know why things were designed a certain way.

One less hole for water damage to come in.

One dealer posted pictures of the new 2021 Axis, which are more current than the Thor site that still has some pictures from previous year’s models. Kitchen looks cleaner with a bit more counter space. No outside TV on this one so may not be an option after all.

Here’s a view of the previous kitchen and dash for comparison. I prefer the “less is more” newer kitchen design.

Question: I noticed that the Vegas is still showing an outside TV option... is that for a 2020 model?

That stove is huge on the older model--I don't think even our stove was that big. No wonder the newer one looks better LOL (it also could be the different camera angles between the two pics).

Interesting that they are now using an in-dash popup tablet.

The center console insert looks skinnier to me by about 1/2" on either side. It looks cleaner but since I'm used to our coach it looks "funny" to me.

And it looks like they have electric "induction" cook top only?

Last years had both Gas and Electric. I like that idea.

I gas only in my 2017 Axis.

I like gas fine but induction cooktops have there advantage (esp when hooked up to shore power) in the summer time for me. Its hard to keep the RV cook so I dont light to fight the stove heat on top of that.

I juse an two burner hot plate outside when I can (or the outdoor grill).

I like the looks of that center backup camera / sterio system/ Nav screen..... I wonder how large that screen is?

Lots of new saftey upgrades with the new Chassis too!

Just purchased the 2021 Thor Vegas with the 7.3 liter V8. All the the spec and brochure listings I've seen for 2021 still have the old 2020 V10 specs. Called the Thor manufacture and was told that the release of the 2021 spec brochures are delayed.
My 2021 Thor Vegas has no outside television. Thor stated that it was discontinued for 2021.

.....cut.....

Pictures look like a Dometic 2-burner gas with glass top which is what specs call for. I’ve seen similar compact units on vans and small trailers at RV shows for years. For those like us who cook very little on the road they should save space and increase counter space, which is more important to us in a small motorhome. We rarely use 2 burners at same time at home, so an improvement over the original large RV cooktops. Hopefully these small ones with glass top are a lot quieter and rattle less.

We've got one of those in our Wayfarer, and they DO ride a whole lot quieter.
(Now if the silverware drawer would just co-operate! )

It’s funny how design ideas like these get recycled.

Years ago Thor used these space-efficient glass-covered 2-burner gas cooktops on their tiny entry-level 19G Class Cs, many still used by Cruise America as rentals.

The thread today on Thor CEO Bob Martin speaking with Jim Cramer of CNBC shows him sitting in a Mercedes Sprinter Delano or Tiburon with the same type of cooktop.

It would be nice if Thor actually expanded on Martin’s comments regarding “simpler” RVs they are learning to build through association with Hymer.

I know many buyers need more cooktop space, but for the many who don’t, it’s nice to have options that don’t include buying and hauling around more than one needs or wants. And large cooktops is but one example of excesses some buyers don’t want in a motorhome.
