30 amp to 15 amp adapter 2016 Chateau 31E Ready Camp

With my previous rv (2014 Thor Four Winds 22E) I could use a 30 to 15 amp adapter to plug into my garage when I had the rv at home. Every time I plug in the adapter to shore power it trips the circuit with my 2016 Chateau 31E Ready Camp. I have made sure there is nothing running that would cause it but it still happens. Is there something different with the Chateau 31E that I am not aware of that would cause the circuit to trip?

Maybe the GFI is detecting something if it's a GFI type breaker that is tripping.

The breaker that is tripping is a 15 amp breaker to my garage power.
Could it be something to do with the inverter being either on or off? And where do I find the inverter on the Chateau 31E?

Looking at the specs for the 31E there is no inverter so that shouldn't be your problem. According to the specs the inverter is only on the 31W with residential refrigerator.

Ron says...if you are tripping that 15 amp breaker...first, what he would do is change out the breaker for a 30 amp breaker at the box..(your new RV may be drawing more power)
In addition, make sure you are not running anything else on that same 15amp
breaker/circuit.
If you have an RV SUREGE PROTECTOR..you should connect it when using your house/shore power as well as when camped elsewhere.

15 amp sounfdf awfully low to me. The a/C compressor draws about 16 amps when starting up. Do you have a 30 amp house plug you can plug into instead?

possibilities:

-there are more power draws from both the coach AND the existing garage circuit than the breaker can handle

-the 30a-to-20a adapter could be bad

Sounds like your shore power to battery power transfer converter is drawing more juice than your old unit did,
