AC filter in main cabin ?

I looked up at the AC unit in main cabin and it’s filled with dirt , what is the best way to clean it , and how do I go about opening the cover to get at it ? I have a Thor Vegas 24.1 2014 . Thank you !

Check the recirculation intake for the dash air also.
It's right at the front passengers toes.

2 tension tabs on the removable intake cover. Pull down.

There’s one black screw like circular thing that looks like you can use a quarter to unscrew it ... I don’t want to pop it open and not be able to put back. Also is it a filter I can clean or does it need a replacement?

On mine, the filters are a plastic-like fine mesh material that can be cleaned under running water, patted dry with paper towels and put back in place. They should be cleaned often to keep the A/C performing well. What brand is your A/C ?

I would replace it. When you replace your engine air filter you should replace your cabin filter.

It should all be based on the cab and chassis that you have. Go to a parts store with your vin from the dash or the drivers door jam. They should be able to look up the correct one that way.

Suetec, didn't I just see a post from you with a picture of a ceiling A/C?

You have your filters confused. I believe the cabin air filter he is referring to is the cab dashboard A/C filter. It is referred to as Cabin air filter. The filter in your roof air is washable. the one you could look up and see. Take it out wash, dry and replace.

LOL, I thought she was talking about the cabs cabin filter...
If it is like mine, I clean it out by washing it and letting it dry. I made a lot of spares from a foam filter Walmart for window AC units. I think it is only $1 for a 3x2’ sheet of it. But then again, this is on my rig.

Suetec is a newbie and her threads have a tendency to go sideways but we can get her ( assuming here) on the right path.

I found the other thread. It wasn't Suetec's. Picture was somebody's eles's ceiling A/C. they both hit my email at the same time. Both threads the same problem. Spooky, But she said looking up so I assume she is looking at an ceiling A/C.
