AC working backwards?

I’m a newer RV owner, so maybe it is just me. But, it appears to me my house ac is working backwards! The slide things to stop the air flow are on the input side and the filters are on the output side. Maybe I’m dumb, but that seems backward to me. Anyone have any thoughts? The RV is a 2016 Windsport 34j.

Filters should bow in slightly when air is on

Air come out where the filters are. Cold air! And another observation. I thought the slider things that blocks the air would be to redirect the air to the vents in the ceiling but it blocks the air coming in. Why would I ever want to block the air coming into it?

There is a partition that falls over inside. It is only friction fit. It will allow the input and output to mix.

Ceiling unit. Remove the panel inside and you'll see the partition maybe 5"×12" I use the silver duct tape to hold mine in place and seal any holes

See before and after. Ductwork tape (silver) well applied fixes the problem, make sure the bottom of the separator is on the center of the diffuser.
