Advice on buying a steel building for a garage

I am about to buy a steel building to erect on an existing concrete slab to be used as a garage for my Thor Vegas and two cars. I don't know a lot about these structures or the companies that sell them. Any advice or input is appreciated. If you've done this, tell me about your experience and the company you used. Thanks in advance!!

Not living in Kentucky I couldn't recommend a builder, but what I would recommend is finding someone who has one and asking their advice, especially if it's new.

Putting it on an existing slab may be a challenge. Typically there are footers located to support the steel Columns. The concrete is an integral part of the Structure. Do Not buy directly from a company that will not erect it, they wont be there to make sure it is right, By From A dealer that with get the thing done. American Buildings, Butler, Lester are a few.

It might be just as easy to cut holes in the slab for supports and put up a pole Barn. They have a wood frame, and steel sheeting. Much Cheaper than an all steel building.

I am looking at Unitedcarports.Com out of Lake Elsinore, CA. You do not have to go with the concrete footings if you do not want the carport permitted, at least as far as they are telling me. I don't want to go with the footers and permitting if I decide to do it. It has to be much cheaper than a wood pole barn which would have to be permitted as well.

I live in KY in the summer and have a steel building with shed roof extensions, one to house the RV. 6 x 6 posts, ten feet apart, 2 x 6s between the posts, prebuilt rafters 5 feet apart, corrugated steel for the roof and walls. They go up quite fast and if built right they are strong enough to withstand heavy winds. The floor is poured around the posts, but you could cut out large areas of the concrete where the posts (three feet deep) will be located and then pour concrete around the posts out to the original concrete.
