I have a 2018 Thor windsport 34j. It had a few issues when I bought it, but we like it. I did remove the sleeper sofa and put in some very comfortable theater seating. No mechanical issues and everything runs well. Love the bunks for storage unless being used rarely by grandsons. Hope that helps. Jim

Trading up, down or otherwise can sometimes be triggered by out-growing them. We talk about it occasionally. Youngest grandson, at 16, has pretty much outgrown his usual bunk, the drop-down over the cab. But, at 16, having parents and grandparents generally isn't considered "cool" anymore, so between that and his other interests, sports, girls, his computer (not necessarily in that order), he almost never goes with us anymore anyway. So, for now, we'll probably keep he Axis.

You may look at the super C. They have much more room in them, more features, truck chassis for better handling and a diesel. I have a super C that is 36 ft long and love the room, powered and handling.

That's a good entry level class A gas rig. If gas is what you want rather than a diesel, then if the price is right, then it's a good rig.
There is risk in purchasing any rig, unfortunately quality can vary from rig to rig so it's a bit of luck when buying one. Sometimes it takes a year before all the bugs are worked out if a new rig.
I'm not aware of any major design faults with that rig
