Air conditioning and water filter ??

First of all, what do you do (if anything ) with your water filter after a trip? Does it need to be cleaned with bleach to prevent mold or stored in a particular way?
Second, today when I retracted my awning I was drenched with water that had evidently collected on the awning. I'm talking gallons!! Bear in mine it never once rained during my two night stay. All of this was from the AC I presume. Is this normal? Is there no guttering for the AC ? My site was almost perfectly level and with no rain predicted I didn't lower one side of the awning. Is that something that should always be done?
Thanks

Yeah the AC condensation rolls to the awning side of the unit; a common problem with Axis/Vegas units. There isn't any guttering on the top to direct it away.

I'll typically drop a side of the awning for that--even if no rain is in the forecast (on ours it also runs to the front by the door so there is a drop near the door).

(Don't have a water filter.)

Jamie that's exactly where I got drenched! I never imagined the AC would produce that much water! Live and learn!
