The letters are random just dictating the different floor plan for that size model. My 34J is a bunkhouse with a overcab bunk single full length slide. They have other bunkhouse full length slide overhead bunks with different kitchen and bath layouts and the J is a different letter. I think the random letter out of a hat makes sense here just to differentiate the different floor plans of that model.

When we had a Winnebago, we learned the HE were the cheap ones. They didn't have all the normal stuff a non HE Winnie would have. Plastic toilet, bathroom sink. A few other corners cut from what one would expect from the brand. Not sure if it's the same for Thor.
