Always learning something new about my Palazzo

I've owned my 2013 Pallazo for about 2 years now. It's funny the longer you have something, the better you get to know it.

Since I bought it, when we get to a campsite, my sequence is:
1. Lower the air ride bags
2. Turn on hydraulics levelers and level it
3. Kill ignition

Then when leaving:
1. Start motor
2. Retract levelers
3. Inflate air ride and leave

Everything has always been fine but there's always a clunk, bang, and shake when levelers first retract. I never thought this sounded right but I thought it was normal. Last time out I accidentally inflated the airbags before I retracted the levellers. To my surprise it was smooth as glass no clunk, bang, or shake. Since I thought it might be an anomaly I tried it several more times and smooth as glass each time. Maybe this is wrong but I'm going to keep doing it until I find out different.

I will have to try this. I get a loud pop and shake in the front when retracting sometimes. I like learning new tricks.

My Tuscany is set up so I have to extend the slides while the ignition/engine is running

Interesting though

So are you bringing in the slides prior to inflating bags?

I always retract the slides before raising the jacks and extend them after leveling or extending the jacks

Yes. I bring in slides while I'm still connected to shore power before cranking engine. Extend them after air bags deflated and levellers down

I have also always retracted the levelers BEFORE filling the air bags.

But it makes sense that filling the air bags first would take pressure off the jacks and make retracting the jacks less noisy.

I'm going to try it unless anyone sees a reason not to.
