Amazing fuel mileage
We have a 2016 Gemini with the 3.2 diesel. On a trip north from Omaha on I-29 with a vicious due south tail wind with me traveling due north. This was over a 100 mile stretch prior to a fuel stop.

Nice!
I have yet to see anything over 17 mpg with my Sprinter-based rig...

Nice! Just about got it weined!
I bet it purrs like a kitten going the speed limit on the highway rather than the high rpm screaming of the Ford V10 at 60 mph.
Give me a diesel regardless of towable or drivable any shape or size, a diesel is built to work.

I am happy with 9.5 to 10.5 towing our 2013 CRV. A lot of weight in a diesel pusher, but all things considered the millage is not bad.

This trip was to NW Minnesota and i had been checking mileage every 100 mi. or so. Had a SW wind when we left Omaha giving us a little side wind as well. Had checked twice earlier and got 16 to 17.5. Wind switched to full south and between Sioux Falls and Watertown SD. was when i got this nice mpg. Bet I won’t be that lucky again!

Once the V-10 is in top gear at 60 MPH, I don't find that the RPMs are very high. However, getting to 60 MPH necessitates a bit of revving through the gears.

Works both ways, Last month, trip to Wyoming, I-90 in SD, Sprinter 24ST, down to 12.4 mpg with 25-30 mph headwind. Normally 15-16 mpg at 65-70

Excellent fuel economy.
It’s a good thing too to make up for the crazy-high cost of diesel. I’m on a road trip and have been filling gas at just under $3 so far ($2.89 best), but diesel has been advertised close to $5 ($4.69 to $4.89 seems typical).
I don’t know what’s going on, but for first time in my lifetime it may cost more to fuel same vehicle with diesel.

Diesel has been higher than gasoline for quite some time. Even back in 2008, diesel was much more expensive than gasoline, though for short periods of time since, diesel got to be a little cheaper than gasoline.
We are told that there is only so much diesel that can be extracted from a barrel of oil, and since there is such a high demand for that type of fuel in this country (big rigs, big planes, locomotives, construction and farming equipment, etc.) that the supply isn't up to par with the demand. Not sure that I believe that supply and demand issues are the only reason for the higher price for diesel.

We just got back to Texas from a trip to witness the Elk migration in Estes Park, and the best our V10 got was 6.8, mpg avg and only 5.6 in the mountains.
That's while towing our 2014 CRV.

Only place I saw diesel cheaper than gasoline was at a boat dock this summer. Found out the gas was non-ehtenol, still wasn't interested in refueling with either product! Anything on the water was insane this year.

The lowest fuel mileage I've had was just over 6.0 MPH and the highest was about 11.0 MPG. Normal fuel mileage is 7.0-7.5 MPG. I tow a twelve foot, dual axel, enclosed trailer with a 900 pound motorcycle, and at least 400 pounds of tools, gear, etc. in the trailer.
I have found that headwinds produce the worst MPG. Hills are bad, but a lot can be gained on the downhill runs. Normally my speed is about 65 MPG.
I only use cruise control when the roads are flat and there are no headwinds.

More importantly, what is your fuel cost per mile? My last trip was 4191 miles and total fuel cost was $1814.58 for a per mile cost of $.4329.

Last month to Wyoming, 3940 miles, 273 gallons at $4.89 avg, .339 per mile. Overall 14.4 mpg, that long leg in SD with headwind did hurt.
