I vot the Quantom 31w. I was getting about the same but have a ton of other issues, water leakes, autolevel not working, fridge invertor not working, hot water stopped working, slide out leaked, sink drains sheered off to grey water tank. For 98k its garbage. Seeking lawyer if not fixed. Used it once

We have the 26rs also and just returned to South Florida from Tulsa, Oklahoma. We drove lots of backroads and going 55 to 60 and averaged 9 mpg. We bought it in April of 2016 and love it...we had a 24 ft Itasca Navion prior and loved the mileage but hated making the bed each nite. Did you discover how to use the speakers over the bed?

The speakers are operated by the radio...there are output choices and one sends the radio sound through the speakers. We hardly ever use them but I couldn't stand not knowing so I called Thor...

Another concern I had was checking the tire pressure on the inside tires on the rear. I got extensions and the put on a TPMS system. I love how it rotates through the 6 tires and provided the tire pressure and temps. I figure that they system pays for itself with saving one tire!

my neighbor across the street showed me the button for cable in the overhead cabinet. So far we have been fine with the digital channels and our old dvds (Northern Exposure, Bonanza and Miami Vice)...

We have a 2017 Freedom Elite 26HE on a Ford E-450 chassis. Recently returned from a 4000 mile 10 state tour of western states. It was a marvelous trip and the coach was nearly perfect. For the trip we averaged 8.12 mph with careful record keeping. I could wish it was better but I'm ok with it. It was still a new engine at the outset (fewer than 1000 miles), we drove pretty fast (averaged about 70, I think, sometimes more, occasionally less) because the speed limit is 80 in many of the states we were in. Also there were some impressive western winds including wind advisories in New Mexico of 50 mph gusts and we crossed the Rocky Mountains a couple of times. I'm confident we'll see 9 or even 10 on some future occasions. The machine seems to have a sweet spot at about 63 or 64 mph and I'll try to stay in it on roads where the limit isn't 80! Good travels.

Talking mileage and I wanted to throw something in. We have a 28z, bought it with 6,600 miles and now have about 17,600. I keep a gas log since day 1 and so far we have averaged 8.1. Live in NC, been to Fla. a couple times and up through the Blue ridge a couple times etc. Also a 3200 mile trip to San Antonio with a Honda CRV toad. I've determined that to be my number.

The only variable I've noticed that makes much difference is speed -- beyond obvious headwind/tailwind or going uphill/downhill.
I've driven various Class Cs from 24 to 30 feet, and all got around the same 8 MPG. They were all about the same width, same height, same shape, same Ford V10, similar gearing, thus same results.
Weight should make a little difference, but aerodynamic drag, affected by speed, makes most of the difference we can easily control. I've gotten 10 MPG a couple of times on scenic roads driving 45 to 55 MPH, but for most part normal driving in 65 MPH range yielded about 8 MPG on average. Best long trip was 8.6 to 8.7 MPG over 5,000 miles.
Good news is there is lots of room for improvement.

Which TPMS did you choose? I like the idea that it cycles thru them. But I am noit sure that they all do that. Some seem like they will do that for a couple of minutes then stop until you hit a button again.
I know they are monitoring all the time. I'd just like to be able to glance at the display from time to time to see where things are at.
Thanks, John

Yes. I have Chateau 22B and I got 8.1 mpg on a full tank period but as I let it go down to a half a tank I got 8.7. So now I'm only going to fill it half full.

my 8.1 does sound dreadful but we drove over 4000 miles and three weeks for about $1200. Everything else and the whole trip was about $2000. Not bad for a three week tour. On the other hand, my buddy claims to be getting 16+ mpg on his diesel sprinter 24 ft coach. Like the man says, we have room for improvement!
I have the Tire Minder TPMS and it seems reliable as an anvil. Numbers agree with my gauge and provides much peace of mind. You do have to scroll manually through each position for pressure and temperature unless it detects a problem whereupon it'll alert and report that location.

While not a class c, my 16 vegas is still on e450 chassis. Past 4000 miles mpg improved a little from 9.4 to 10. Best was 10.7 towing trailer South on 75 at almost 70 drafting a DP. Worst was 1st Disney trip, 7.8 with Gen running and testing limits with nothing to get behind early on and a heavy headwind.
When road empty, big difference between 60 - 65 , 65 to 70, 70 to 75.
