We also posted earlier, now after close to 3 years and 22,000 miles it is still going good. Vegas gets used frequently, every two weeks at most this time of year. This past month we had 3 weekends of two races in one day with testing night before.

I do a complete clean/flush of black tank every quarter or sooner depending on use. We add a tablespoon of chlorine to water tank every 3rd fill. We never use RV water for drinking/cooking as we have well systems at both houses. I also check tire pressures before each trip, Engine warming right now as I am going to change oil/filter and grease front steering ahead of NC trip next week.

Is sad to see so many with issues. We have been lucky I guess, no issues that are significant. I do carry tools, spare for RV, a spare water pump etc.

A big part of success with RV is mindset, be prepared to perform minor stuff yourself eases a lot of stress. If I can keep racecar running the RV is much simpler.

Are you projecting? I'm pretty sure I am not happy if I pee on myself.

Short and sweet - own a 2019 Thor Miramar 35.2..... Love the floor plan and ALL its amenities. After fixing all the initial "punch-list" items, we have been on the road since January 19 and no issues. Pull a toad without any problems. We LOVE our Miramar.

I believe I posted a few years back on this, but a new update - I'm still happy with my Super C diesel. Even the (shhhhh) full wall slide is working great. Just finished completely waxing it even.

I have a 2016 Four winds 35SD that we have had for about a year. We love the floor plan. The Chassis and drive train are great. Build quality of the living area is not very good, always finding something done very poorly

Thor Vegas

Similar to the Axis, we have a Vegas. It's a new one -2020. While Thor has bent over backwards to make everything right I do agree with my husband that Thor uses it's customer base as it's Quality Control. New rig, and there been over a dozen things that needed corrections / fixing. Mostly all due to the wrong size screws used - jeez!

I have a 2018 Thor Siesta 24SS and love the coach. Yes I had a very few minor issues that were fixed by my dealership. I also had Thor customer service send me a couple of parts while under warranty that I fixed myself. I traded in a 2016 Winnebago ERA that had many, many issues the first 8 months. Once they were addressed everything was good. Thor by far has been a wonderful experience and coach. It has 2 slideouts, diesel generator and the summit package. Runs great. I love the continuous tankless hot water heater now that I understand how it works (some good utube videos on it). I added the Equalizer Hydraulic leveler system as well sumo springs (easy install for me). We have been on over 10,000 miles in it since this past April. No complaints here.

I posted this in another thread...

An Alternative View
My Thor Axis has had its little issues. Things to fix, things to improve, and things to make it better (thanks everyone). I have extra screws, molding, and interesting extra parts all courtesy of Thor’s assembly crews.

However, there is a long list of others issues I must share:

- AC and fans,
- Electrical systems,
- Plumbing and tanks,
- Slides,
- Stove top and microwave,
- TVs and radios (Whoops, there was the Axxera),
- Awning and windows,
- Ford E450,
- Doors, cabinets, storage lockers, and lock sets, and
- just about everything else

works as intended!

I know folks have had multiple issues, some major, and I am sorry they have had to deal with those issues, but for me, and I suspect many others, their Thor has performed as expected.

No doubt I will encounter break downs that will make me curse, but I have started with a pretty good product. I bet many have.

I think I need another gin and tonic...

Special thanks for the good advise, solutions and great mods from this forum. What an awesome place. Make that a double please.

PA,
I see where you have the 27.7 floor plan. Over the past two years I have been looking (but no luck) here in NC for one to check out. We have the 24.1 and the 27.7's bigger shower and second bedroom slide seem to address changes we would like.
I have a few questions: Is the shower comfortable? Is the "walk around" bed easy to get in and out of. Have you noticed any tilting to the driver's side as the two slides go out or do the stabilizing arms (I know they are not levelers) help maintain position?

DocMike

What’s up Doc,

Sorry, could not help myself. You probably get that all the time.

Shower is roomy. I’m 6’1”, 215 lbs and have plenty of room to shower without bumping the walls. I did remove the overly long Thor shower curtain and replaced it with an RV appropriate length shower curtain.

The “walk” around bed is a bit tight on the sides such that walk around is a little bit of a stretch. That said, easy enough to get in and out of the bed. I do find the mattress comfortable for a good night’s sleep.

No perceptible tilt or lean when the slide are out. The bedroom slide is small and the kitchen-dinette slide does not extend out that far. The bedroom slide extends further out.

I have not found a need for the stabilizers. Once level the rig is solid.

Plus, lots of storage space, I don’t use it all. Comfortable and roomy for two, but I am not a fan of the corner kitchen. If I had to change something, it would be the kitchen layout. However, making a full breakfast on a rainy day is not a problem. Dinner usually gets done outside on my Blackstone grill. The convection microwave does Biscuits well.

I like my Axis 27.7 and consider it a great rig for my travels. Got it for my up coming second retirement. I hope to become a full time hiker and kayaker while on a quest for great BBQ and local beers.

If you have any other questions just ask away.

PA,

Not a problem, I still enjoy the Bugs Bunny joke...my reply is usually is another old Bugs Bunny standard: "I should have turned left at Albuquerque". I grew up in Albuquerque 1962 to 1971.

Thanks for the info...now if I can just track down a 27.7 here in NC!
