Anyone using Zero-G fresh water hose?

I have seen some good reviews on the light weight Zero-G Hoses and would like to know if anyone has been using one and if they live up to the hype. The fresh water rig I have now is well over 50ft. with filter and is a little heavy. It is also starting to show its age, so am looking to replace it-them soon.
Thanks.

I have one and LOVE it. VERY well made... I'm going to toss my white, stiff hoses and get another. ACE Hardware carries them, if you want to see one in person.

There is something similar at Wal-Mart also certified for drinking water; is it the same brand or quality?

Wondered if someone would make a drinking water version, have the garden hose and love it. Looked and it's available on Amazon.

Agree with others that the zero-G is great. Lightweight, easy to store and durable. Highly recommend.

On the box it states drinking water safe. I'm going to try one.

The carton says it is safe for drinking water. Would assume that it does not impart a hose taste to the water.

I tried what I guess would be an 'off brand' of the garden hose (didn't think it was at the time) - but lasted about a day...

Sounding like the Zero-G hose is better?
Liked the small storage size certainly.

Two products from same mgf 4001-xx (xx = length) called garden hose
4002-xx called RV marine have virtually identical specifications including drinking water safe, but RV version costs a lot more. I asked mfg. what the difference was in RV/Marine applications. Answer nothing but packaging. So save your money and get the garden hose version. I am. Under $30 Ebay and Amazon Prime!

interesting. i know it says kink free but it sure looks like a kink nightmare to me....and hard to coil up nicely.

I'll keep my eye out for this in the store....
but I still think that some day I'm going to make up a nice 3/8 in or maybe a 1/2 in "nylabrade" polyurethane hose

I have a couple 1/4 inch ones for compressed air and they are beautiful for coiling up and work well..... & I figure for the flow rates I need to my RV I don't need anything near as big as 5/8 inch....and a smaller one should roll up nice and compact

And that was part of my concern... not just rocks - but even in the storage bin with electrical cables, etc...
I never figured out what punctured the other hose I tried.. it worked for a couple of minutes then seemed to burst... (and it was on a pressure regulated line...)

Hose replacement

Well, I contacted them and it looks like they are going to stand behind it... Sorry for the long copy & paste:

Good Day To You,

Thank you for contacting Teknor Apex. I do apologize that you are having an issue with the hoses. We definitely do stand behind our products.

Below please find below two options for getting your hose replacement from Teknor Apex . You may choose whichever option is convenient for you. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at your convenience. Please do not discard your hose until we have verified that it is an Apex brand hose.

Option 1 - via internet:
Digital photos sent to us via e-mail so that we can verify that the hose is an APEX hose and a view of the problem area.
Pls include picture of label and/or receipt (if available - not required)
Once we confirm back that the hose is an Apex hose, a digital photo of the ends/fittings cut clearly off of the hose. One set per hose must be visible in the photo.

Or - If you are confident that the hose is an APEX brand hose, both sets of photos can be done at same time.
Short statement stating how the hose failed. If label and/or receipt are not available, please specify length of hose in your statement
The address where you want the replacement hose sent (cannot send hoses to PO boxes)
Phone number, should we have any questions

Option 2 - via US Postal Service:

Double check that the hose is an APEX brand hose. Pls do not discard your hose until we have verified that it is an Apex brand hose.
Once brand is checked, send following:
1. hose fittings cut from hose (not the full hose) ( clear photographs of the hose and cut fittings are acceptable.
2. a copy of the label and/or sales receipt ( if available - not required)
3. a short note restating how the hose failed. If label and/or receipt are not available, please specify length of hose in your statement
4. the address where you want the replacement hose sent (cannot send hoses to PO boxes)
5. phone number, should we have any questions

Send the above to:

How are you using your water hose?
RV / Marine

Notes
I purchased one of your hoses RV/Marine last November for use with my RV. I used it for the first time this week and it has a hole in it. Love the hose, in fact I endorsed it on a THOR motorhome forum, just this morning, only to find it with the hole 30 minutes later. What are my options?
Thanks,
Steve

Uses a standard hose fitting and most come on 1/2, 5/8, or 3/4 inch hose tubing. Most 3/4 hose is generally considered professional or heavy duty.

Just make sure that the hose is safe for drinking water and if you have a black tank flush you buy a separate hose for the flush.

ALL domestic water hoses use 3/4" fittings. ALL of them. Industry standard. Hose dimension will vary from 1/2 to 3/4 though.
