Out of curiosity, what wheels did you install mud flaps on and, for clarification, did you access the rails from the access port in the rear bathroom? I looked at that from the bottom where it looks pretty impossible. I looked at doing it from inside the water compartment but I don't fit between the rear wall and the water tank.
In the rear water compartment, dust and road grime got into the compartment through the rail thru's resulting in my water tank sliding around on dirt on the compartment floor and that caused my black tank outlet to become so stiff I could not open the gate to dump it.
Yes, my tank was not strapped down. So I took it to a dealer to get the tank strapped in but I still have that dirt intrusion.
I filled the gaps between the front compartment thru's and the rails. That took care of most of the water. intrusion. I got gap filler made by Locktite because it stays soft and it sticks really well to anything it touches
I think front mud flaps would help even more. I cannot see it work as well in the back. So I am curious as to what you did there.

Mud flaps
I installed mud flaps behind the front wheels. I drilled thru the walls into the compartments and used stainless steel bolts thru 1” tubing and 1/8” straps sandwiching the flaps. As for the rear I made frames of 1 1/2” tubing and mounted that to the existing frames. I hate that stone guard they give you!! I rather rely on the mud flaps. My stone guard actually came off at a gas station. Lucky for me it wasn’t on the road.

I have the same problem and Thor said they would send new flooring materials to my home address. How long did it take for the flooring to show up? Ive phoned Thor now about 5 times, leave a message but get no call back. Also, if you did receive the flooring, and details you can provide about how you installed it> thanks

I only communicate by email and have always had good communication. I received a 4X8 sheet of composite. It took a couple weeks for it to arrive. Have not installed yet as the weather is nice and are in the middle of traveling. Should be easy. Poly sealer and self tapping screws. Maybe some of that TV sealer. Forget the name but makes boat with screen door.

If the floor is sagging more than likely who have moisture in your floor boards. Thor does not seal the edges of their “special” plywood flooring when they cut it to fit. Caulking fails. We had black mold develop in our boards and we are replacing them with a fiber reinforced composite called Coosa 26. It is used by the boating manufactures. Black mold can linger and is not healthy to breathe, I have Asthma and had to wear a respirator to remove the boards. The pictures shown have signs of black mold.

Thor replaced my floors with what they currently use. It is a composite foam core.

Hi all - been dealing with the basement leak since driving off the lot with my 2018 3901 in March 22. I replaced the sagged section under the sliding tray with Marine plywood covered by carpet. I am going to try and get Thor to send/sell me the 2 other panels and I will install myself. Its easy.
Here the GOOD news (rare with this Aria). I think I finally found the water intrusion spot (after flex sealing everywhere I could including the wall facing the propane tank). The passenger front wheel well, the wall of that well against the first storage bin, that wasnt even completely covering the frame. There was a 2 inch space / gap vertically from the top of that well to bottom. Guess they ran short on that black panel stuff that day and installed what they had. So water from the wheel well was flooding thru that vertical gap onto the back of storage bay #1and also through the horizontal seam of that same wheel well. I corrected this have driven through several decent rains and so far no flooding. So it seems mine was starting in the front passenger wheel well, through bay 1 and into the basement. And wow, I mean full destruction flood of entire basement during one epic south florida torential downpoor I was stuck in. Hope this helps someone

What thickness Coosa 26 did you use?

What thickness Coosa 26 did you use? And where did you get it?

Aria 3901 basement issues
I used 3/4” marine grade plywood. Peppers was correct on sealing behind the front wheels. Make sure everything is sealed

I used 1/2” with additional aluminum angle metal to support it. The Coosa mfr recommends 5/8”.

I replaced both pieces and sealed the joints with silicone and then put water proof Gorilla patch tape on all the seams. Hopefully that will do the trick

So our slide through rotted along wth the floor on the passenger side. 2021 Aria. Thor said sorry. Did send enough flooring to fix the pass through. While fixing the pass through we discovered the floor holding the water tank was bowed down so much that the tank has shifted. Since it is a structural issue holding the tank I am asking for warranty to fix it. Not holding my breath. The engineers that thought is was a good idea to use the sh*t wood for floor must have gotten new jobs designing plug doors for Boeing.

I took the Thor factory tour a couple of years ago and Thor said they changed the basement floor material in late 2020 models. I asked them to provide the new flooring (they said they would). First shipment was the "old" flooring material. I tried again, and they sent the new material. I'm doing the work myself, not that hard to do.

How did folks get Thor to send the material? I feel like I would be OK with that deal. Send me the stuff and I will make sure it is installed properly. I email and sent pics and they just said go to a service center.

I phoned Thor customer service and told them about my basement problem and that I had been following this issue on the web. I told them that it looks like Thor has provided new flooring material to several Aria owners because of this issue. Thor said as a matter of "goodwill" they would provide and ship to me the new flooring. I stressed that Thor had changed their floor design in 2020 and it was very unfair for pre 2020 Aria owners to be left stuck with this problem.
Good luck with Thor!

I emailed Thor customer service and explained the issue, that I had braced up the old flooring as best as I could, but was still fighting it. They asked for pictures which I sent, mostly just showing the braces I had installed. I had the new flooring within a week. That was earlier this spring for our 2018.
