Assist h2o

Getting ready to go on vacation in the water pump keeps running because it can’t pressurize the system. And when I connect to city water starts coming out of the drain valve for the freshwater tank not as strong as when we open with drain valve open connecting water in the drains out water pump keeps running any advice. Have a Chateau 24 BL. 2020. Dealer will of course help but it’s the weekend and we were planning to head out on Sunday

Looks like you have 3 options

1. Find the leaks and fix them yourself. If the pump will not build pressure there is either a leak or a bad pump.

2. Delay your trip until you can get the dealer to look at the coach.

3. Start your trip without water and hope Thor will authorize a mobile tech when you get to where you are going.

thanks for suggest on options

The good news is that, as usual, General Rv in Sag area even though they are booked up, since this affects our trip, will put the head person on it first thing MOnday morning.
Strange to me that we could have done without the pump on the trip because we will have full service - water - at the site. However, when I connect our water, city water to it (so we don't have to use the pumps) water comes out of the fresh water drain pipe (yes the drain valve is closed - made sure several times) and so we still don't get water since it can't establish any compression!!!
Confused!

We had a similar problem last trip. In our case, it looks like a faulty check valve in the water pump. We worked around it by alternating between city water and fresh water tank on board. Remember to switch your valve between city water and water pump. Also, suggest cutting off water heater when not in use.
