Pirit heated hose and wintering in RV

Getting ready to hunker down soon here in CT for the winter. Has anyone had good luck with these hoses the RV park has the spigots wrapped and heated so that should not be a problem, also what about water filter, just go without? Also wondering about drains for black and grey do you do something with the hose so it does not crack or just not connect and only dump as needed? Also any other tips would be helpful...in a Hurricane 35C.

DJCarter,
Im in CT also and planning to go out at least couple more times.
So if it gets to cold for the water hose, we will fill the fresh water tank
And work off of that. Leave the waste valves closed untill you need to dump, during the day when its warner. Have fun stay warm

I have very good luck with the heated hose. Our nights here may get down to the mid 20s, but the days are always above freezing. I would only dump when needed. Good luck and keep warm this winter.

We've used the heated hose with good luck BUT one of the problems we've had is the spigot freezing. I carry small clamp on lamp with reflector that I attach to the spigot with a small box or bucket. Eliminated the issue of a frozen spigot.

I'm the "Big Sissy" in here: "Wintering in the RV" means that you point it South, and put some miles between yourself; and Old Man Winter...
