We are using velcro. Bought at Lowes and they are working perfect

Sometimes the heat causes the command strips to release so I just added a very small screw to each command strip to assist them. If I ever want to remove them, the screw is so small you won't even notice them.

Command Strips work best with proper surface preparation.
We wipe the area down with rubbing alcohol first, and they have always stuck !
We even put up hooks for our pajamas to hang on: no problem!

We’ve been using command strips some of which have been on duty for several years. I’m surprised how much they’ll hold.

Did the same on ours.
Some if those hooks were still in place 6 years later when we sold the rv.
If 2 strips look like they'd hold it use 4 or 6 after wiping both surfaces with alcohol.
If it needs a screw use one, you're not going to hurt the resale, you've already done that when you left the dealers lot the day you bought it.

Hanging pictures

I use this 3m heavy duty fastening strip. Cut the size you want. Locks tight but can be removed if you need to.

We have used museum putty with great results. It sticks and can be removed without issues. We also use it on items that are displayed on shelves.

Not to change here... put for flat surfaces we use earthquake putty.
This keeps things from sliding off counter or table, when taking turns on 2 wheels..

It's funny that you mention NASCAR...
I just told the Missus what I want for Valentine's Day: an uninterrupted afternoon with the Daytona 500 on the TV.
