AXIS\VEGAS stove top cover rattles
Has anyone found a good way to lower the rattling from the metal cover on the stove top?
That is about the loudest rattle that we have left on our VEGAS. It isn't terrible, but would be nice to lower the noise some

I took mine off and put a cutting board in its place. They sell a cutting board with 4 rubber feet that have slits in them that fit over the grates.

I take a hand towel and fold it up under the front lip.

Same here. No more rattles with the drain mat.

we already had the large cutting board from our previous rv..
we placed it on top of the stovetop cover, from the beginning...
just as a handy place for it to be...
apparently, the weight of the cutting board keeps it from rattling,
as we have no issues !

Mike.
We bought our cutting board on sale at CW .. several years ago.
Hardwood Stove Topper/Cutting Board - Camco 43753 - Counter & Stove Tops - Camping World
Amazon has many cutting boards in all types of wood...
even if you do not purchase at CW .. check it out, as their description gives you the dimensions.
I just googled this cutting board..WalMart has it available

You have lost the little plastic "bumpers" that keep it from rattling. It is easy to find an old piece of tire and make a replacement for each side. The advantage of keeping the metal cover is that it acts as a splash and a heat shield.

AGREE !! I checked our stove top cover...the little legs have rubber on them ! Ha ! In addition...if a person has it, or wants to purchase this substance...
there is a 'dip' made for tool handles, etc. which would work..but an expense for a relatively easy fix with a heavy/large rubber band or any other flexible rubber item.
