Outlaw Trim
The trim is an aliminum piece. I used two flat head screwdrivers, the largest I could find, and starting at one end, pryed the bottom out. I would slide the screwdriver down the gap, twist the flats to about 45 deg, then slide the other screwdriver down and twist again. Try not to pry at too much of an angle, the aluminum trim ban be bent. To re-install, I used a dead-blow hammer to keep from denting or marking the trim. I then used silicone to glue the end caps back on. A close look at the pictures you can see where the trim lips snap into the base I had to file the ends of the carriage bolts to allow those lips clearance to snap back in. Any other help I can give, please let me know!
