Two small keys

I just got a new 2017 ace 29.3. With it they handed me a stack of keys. These include the keys for the engine, deadbolt, handle lock, and campartments. In addition the tech handed me 2 small keys with black olastic on them. The plastic is somewhat square in shape. He told me that he didn't know what they were for. Does anyone know what they unlock?

They may be duplicates of other keys. In my case the storage compartments have one key with rubber/plastic on the end and the duplicate is all metal. The same is the case for my keys for the door. Both of these have rubber around the end and the duplicates are all metal.

Good guesses on both of those. The water tank fill doesn't have a key.

The key is the same size as the compartment key. If i line the keys up they have the same tumbler pattern. Butbif you look at them from the front thry are most mirrior imaged. That is the alignment grove is on the opposite side so it won't fit in the compartment locks.

Shoot us a photo of them
!!
We have a 24.1 ... both sets of Door Keys, have the black plastic cover ...
the key for the Hood Latch is one in itself, unusual.
The compartment keys are the typical small keys.
Our Bunk Key, as with yours, is in its place.
You might have a separate key for the outside TV (if applicable)..
our key is the common key for all the compartments.

Just read your initial post again.....Ha ! perhaps hw handed you keys to another coach !!!

I bought the RV from General RV and the tech sounded like he worked on these quite a bit. But he said he had no idea what the keys were for but that Thor always sends them out.

I also have verified that it doesn't fit any outside compartments (not the TV either). The TV is a standard compartment.

Does your coach have a safe ?
Keys to your electronic leveling jack?
Locking system for your slide ?
Gas cap lock ?

A safe could be in a compartment in the closet/cabinet/under the bed.
I would think, if it came with a safe, it would have been a selling feature.

Is there a lock on the trailer hitch?

Does it have a dish with a lock ?

I am out of suggestions !! good luck !!

I checked for a safe and don't see one. The leveling jack doesn't take a key (engine has to be started though), slide and gas cap don't have locks. My main door has 2 locks with 2 keys also but I have those.

I searched the interior and ground level exterior yesterday and couldn't find a use for this key. Ill have to get on the roof and see if there is something up there. If I ever find out where it goes i'll post an update.

I seriously doubt you will find anything with a lock on the roof.

Dealers get keys to units mixed up all the time. My guess is your dealer is looking for a particular key missing from another unit (travel trailer, motorhome etc...) sitting on their lot. When I purchased my coach a couple of keys were missing and had to be requested from Thor. One missing was the duplicate for the hood barrel key and the other was the duplicate for the exterior television. The barrel lock key came in real quick but it took Thor 3 attempts to get me the exterior television key. Thor kept sending me a CH751 but that key only fits my fresh water fill.

That definitely could be the issue. It is just odd that the tech said they always send these out but he has never figured out what they are for.

and ... this may be redundant...you have confirmed those keys are not extras for your coach door locks?

Nope the door keys are both two sided this key only has one side of tumblers. This key is also small (same size as compartment keys).

I just purchased a 29.3. I was given the following 6 keys:
Ignition key
Round key for the hood
Two black plastic ended entry door keys marked TRIMARK
CH751 key for storage compartments
OH bunk key

No other keys. Hope that helps you.
