Axxera TV does not work with Cable

We have tried to use the free Cable in several RV parks. We turn off the antenna booster and scan for cable. In most cases we get nothing Occasionally we will get a few static channels Any suggestions

1 download entertainment in advance onto a phone/laptop.

2 not all tv's have the right decoder for rv park type cable.

3 `if it doesn't have it or it doesn't work, it's an axxera product©®`. You might need a different tv

4 amazon days is coming up and an excellent TCL 32 inch android Google TV with a built in roku will be $99+-.https://www.amazon.com/TCL-32S325-In...7350257&sr=8-3

5 be a Bud and donate the axxera.

I'm asking all qualifying people this week:
Why did you use an email address as a user name?

Your terrestrial antenna need 12 volt DC to amply the signal to the TV. So when you turn the antenna's switch on, the incoming cable signal is blocked and 12 volts DC is added to the antenna's cable to power its amplifier circuits. If that DC voltage was inserted into the campground's cable, it would cause interference with the others on the cable. Wineguard assumes you would not want to have the antenna drawing power when you are not watching TV, so you would turn the TV and antenna off at the same time.

Welcome to the Forum!
When you scan for channels: what input sources are you seeing, and which one are you using?

I have the same TV and have had no problems with either connecting to cable or the Wineguard OTA antenna. On a trip across Canada and few bumpy roads in Alaska the HDMI cable did come loose but just got my hand behind the set and re installed, the manual has a diagram where the plug is supposed to go.
I would also check all of your connections and make sure the HDMI splitter box is plugged in.

Agree with Coveman. Check your connections for the cable, including splitters and the back of the amplifier. (usually in a closet) No cable at any rv park is usually connection problem
If you sometimes receive a cable signal at one rv park but not at another your Tv may not have a QAM tuner. QAM is a method to encrypt cable TV. Not all parks use it.

Is there anyway to move tv out? I have a loose hdmi cable that probably connects to the one in the dvd box above the fridge, however, I cannot get my hand behind the living room to to plug it back in. There’s got to be a way! 2021 compass TW. Kathy

The HDMI cable port is located on the right side of the TV and is very hard to get to, I used a step stool, BBQ tongs, a mirror and a lot of patience. I think the easier way would be to take the TV off the wall and while you are there install a Roku or similar gear
for streaming.
