I don't take my stash of gold bars, precious gems along on my trips. On my Itasca we had a floor safe in the BR and that was for passports etc. Extra $$$ on a trip is in envelops in a couple different drawers. I don't figure my underwear drawer its going to be a place a thief would rifle around, or my laundry bag with my dirty undies. I didn't even go there. That rates right there with the stinky slinky.

Something I learned on this Forum:

We use the power bed above cab
It requires a key to unlock the power switch
So if we feel anxious abt a valuable…I’ll lower the bed, place valuable on or under mattress, and the raise the bed in stored & locked position.
Take all keys with me

And in any given RV park 3 out of 5 Thor Class A owners have the same key and 2 of those 3 keep that key in the lock.

Think about it.

A 3 dollar-ish lock change and a masking of the instructions near the key would make the bed just about impenetrable and certainly not in the forefront of any thiefs plans.

Spend $12 and make it wireless remote instead of a key and a Thief who owns a thor would post in this forum asking why the key wasn't there....

A common, non-Thor owning thief would be hard pressed to even realize the bed was even there and probably would never find the key switch(hidden well alongside the tv in my 24.1)
I have stuff stashed up there.

I like it, but its not exactly casual and easy access.

My plan was always to put a safe under the fold out desk where the battery access door is.
It turns out I just don't need a safe.
We're not jewelry type folk and haven't anything of value worth installing that safe.
But under that desk, with a magnetic mount instead of the four screws is a dream spot for such a thing.

A non thor-owning thief could easily miss there is a desk there and would certainly not rip it out except as a last effort hours into a theft,

I’m thinking, I’m thinking

So now I’ve gotta worry abt Thor owners breaking-in & stealing from other Thor owners.

Maybe I should just sell the RV, squat in my house, and have everything delivered until God takes me

Remember, if you’re careful enough…
Nothing good or bad will ever happen to you.

We have an ACE 30.1 with the overhead bunk that lowers electronically over the cab area. When the bed is down there are storage bins that are accessible. Put valuables in the and raise the bed and they are out of sight. Also remove the key in the lowering switch and no one else can lower it.

Safest storage place in an RV?

Just don't confuse it with your actual hose and end up flushing valuables down bad places!

Rather than hide it,lock it up. SenturySafe makes an awesome product that is small , fireproof and is biometric.perfect for what you want to keep.

That bunk uses the same key that is used on thousands of RVs and not just for an overhead bunk.

do you have a bunk above the driver seat? Ours is motorized and with a key. Seams like a good place. Have not done it yet as we do not usually have much that we leave behind.

Does your rig have the TV in the Bedroom that has the storage area behind it? I have a 2019 Hurricane Windsport 29M and there is enough room there to store quite a bit of stuff and there is room to install a small safe.

I forgot one place.
Hershey with almonds.
No one is ever going to look there.

(I keep these diapers tucked in the corners of my storage bins and other places I don't want water to be sloshing around. They absorb lots of water. THEY DO NOT ABSORB OIL.)
