The MIssus used to consider it "Camping"; when room service shut down before midnight...

How she has changed!

We have a 2014 33.3 Palazzo with a small residential Westinghouse refrigerator. In average weather we are careful not to open and close the fridge a lot. We run our on-board generator for one hour each morning while making breakfast, and an hour and a half in the evenings. That gets us through a 24-hour period. I charge my 4 x 6v deep cycle batteries when they drop down to 11.9 volts. The only other major power consumer is the water pump, and we try to do our showers and dishwashing when the generator is running.

Today’s tip. DON’T leave the Oreos out where they’re easy to reach. Sigh...

Fist time with new motor home to dry camp at the dragstrip with son racing and his family, only worry was gray water. We carry 100 gal freshwater but with bath and a 1/2 we have 2each 45gal gray and black tanks. No worries about black but a lot of showers,2 little grandkids, and with endless hot water heater can't take camper showers, on wet off soap on rinse. Front gray tank just kitchen sink and washer which we won't be using, rear tank only shower. Soooo picked up 2 sewer caps with hose fitting for tank rinse,2 hose on off fittings and a male to male fitting. All valves closed put both caps on hose between them open both hose valves when shower tank hits 3/4 full open both grey valves SHOULD equaliz both tanks. When done close both grey valves then hose valves disconnected hose,a little grey spill from hose, done. Will it work?????

I have what looks to be the same clock/temperature display. Mine ate batteries about as fast as those Oreos disappeared from the bowl, so I got a different one last year and haven't needed a battery swap yet.

Anyway, I made a 3D printed wall mount with magnets that worked great even for really rough back road travel. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2863690

Apparently it's been awhile since you bought Oreo's. The mega are now the same as the old regulars. Gripes me how they do that.

But then again, I remember a pack of 5 sticks of gum for $0.05 cents.

I've noticed it...
I'm getting pretty good at peeling them apart, stacking up the good stiff in the centers, picking out two good shells, and pitching the rest outside for the squirrels!

They are all to busy talking about Wine and Cookies. LOL.

So your connecting two gray tanks right? I dont see why it wont work. Keep in mind once the water is in the flexable hose it will sag so it may either disconnect or not empty fully. You might use a combo of flexable pipe and 3 inch PVC pipe and use hose clamps and use some sort of straping to keep pipe relatively level?

Or You could use 2 inch pvc pipe too.... nothing chunky in the Gray tanks.

Yeah I thought about this portable waste tank but its something else to haul around and dump out later. I think since he has two small gray think connecting them up makes sense. I think I would hookup something permanent with a valve at both ends of this line.
