A big welcome to all the British chaps that have joined us here on our forum!!
I have a question for you folks.
How many of you have ever drank a beer made in the Strangeway brewery?

Thanks for the welcome, nice to be here.

The brewery closed down in 2005 and has been demolished. All that's left is a chimney in a car park. The brewery was famous for Boddingtons Bitter. They ran a huge advert campaign on TV a few years back. Tried the bitter once but didn't like it too much! When I drink beer it is usually from local breweries but I much prefer absinthe and single malt whisky!

Why do you ask? Have you some affinity with the brewery?

They call it HM Prison Manchester now. I think Strangeways was much better!

Carling and Red wine in our drinks cupboard here, but we serve many ales and lagers in our Pub in the county of Somerset, which is well known for its cider
