Vegas Leveling System

We have just purchased a used 2016 Vegas 24.1 motorhome and have been unable to determine if it has a self leveling system. Information we have seen show "yes" and other say "no". I assume we do need leveling so if it doesn't have a built in system, can anyone suggest what we need.

Two packs of 10 Lynx blocks will get you level in most cases. I have the yellow camco blocks but I prefer the orange ones because the gunk falls through and cleans off easier.

Congratulations! Welcome to the forum! (You need to change your Just Looking status!)

No Vegas or Axis had a stock leveling jack system. It wasn't an option. Several of us have had a system installed. You can do a search on this forum for previous discussions.

You may want to use it without and see if you really want to spend the money. I haven't noticed anyone who put on leveling jacks admit that they they didn't like them. You'll find a lot of folks here that get along just fine without them.

We put on an HWH system with kick down jacks. There are other brands available. We like having our coach level and stable. And we expect to keep it for several years. It is worth it to us, for the way we travel and the places we park for the night.

Also keep in mind that the leveling systems add weight to the unit. The 24.1 floorplan does have quite a bit of extra payload available (even the units on the E350 chassis have plenty of spare GVWR) but still every lb counts.

We make do with two sets of Lynx Levelers. So far we have to use them about once or twice a year and when we do its no more than one or two blocks high (not counting our driveway which requires both sets).

How long do you leave your unit on the levelers in your driveway Jamie? Can you just park it there and leave it raised that high between uses?

Our camper spends the majority of its time in a storage lot. The longest I've left it on the levelers in the driveway is about 48 hours--I only use the levelers prior to a trip to pre-cool the refer (The driveway has such a grade that if I run the refer on it it actually heats up instead of cooling!).

We have a sloping driveway, ... Ron makes a habit of parking our coaches, present and past onto the front blocks he created, just for the driveway, in order that it is level in the driveway. In doing this, we can open the slide, run the refrig if wanted, etc. with no ill effects.
For camping, Ron uses the orange leveling blocks...and, as Jamie stated, often there is no use for the and if so, it is minimal...1-2 ... so simple ... I am his guide when driving upon them.
