Full slide fix.

Our Quantum KM24 had a slide issue when picked it up. The outside bottom had a 2-3" gap when fully closed. Were told it was normal and would work itself out as the lippert controller was "smart." It never did "correct" itself. Found that placing a 2x4 under the slide (inside) as it was retracted kept the slide up and allowed a flush fit on the out side. Problem was we were stepping over a 2x4 all the time. Tried to get it fixed under warantee. General RV threw it up to Thor who denied saying issue wasn't described well enough at pick up (General RV's description/documentation was not specific enough so it was a user issue.) Repair was going to remove whole slide and very expensive. Solution was to purchase adjustable appliance rollers, cut the long bar (used one side of roller, removed wing nut, cut about 6-8" off ea long bar, used liquid nails liberally) to fit under the slide without catching anything and liquid nailed them to the interior underside of the slide. Worked like a charm. No more 2x4 and slide issues. Total cost $20.00 for rollers and liquid nails. Time to repair 30 minutes plus over night dry.Click image for larger version

That's a perfect fix and congratulations on your attitude and problem solving and skills.

Do you expect the hard rollers to crease the flooring?
If they do, it wouldn't take much effort to custom fit a skateboard wheel chucked into a drill motor and sand it down to size. It won't do away with a crease but it would minimize a crease.

They don't actually touch the floor until about a foot from fully in. There are 8 rollers on ea piece so should be decent weight distribution. No evidence yet.
