Kleenex, step up on the bumper then one step up the ladder works for me when ever we stop. Mirrors same thing only they can reached from the ground.

Yep just select camera from your radio menu and your rear camera will stay on but you can not listen to the radio at the same time...

If you have a garmin gps you can hook the camera to that. It gives much better resolution and you can put it where you can see it.

Not all Gamins have a camera input, in fact very few do that aren't proprietary.

Check you radio manual. Generally there is a "Mode" button that will allow you to see the rear camera and listen to the radio; you just can't change the volume.

Failing that, get a monitor and put it on the dash and use an RCA splitter cable to feed it from the input to the radio. Less than $100 investment.

Do you have the engine running when you try the camera icon?

I have the same coach with the axxia? Unit. I can push rear camera button on screen and listen to radio volume up and down. Side LOL this question reminds me of a movie scene. “ how can I control the tv volume when I’m listening to the radio?” “Why do u want to do that?” “I like to party”. Taladega nights

We agree on the GARMIN RV760 here. So great to have the camera display right in front of you and not having to look down makes driving a lot safer.

We purchased a 12" monitor on Amazon (that powers up on 12 volt) along with an RCA Y-JACK connector. This all plugs into the camera video output (all in the access panel right above the steering wheel) and voila the rear camera is always on when radio is on, or the side view is on when turn signals are operating. Monitor came with all cables and feet and 2-sided sticky tape and sits to left of dash, easy to view while driving. Very simple and works well!

Total cost under $100.

Exactly what I did but with a 10" monitor:

I believe all the new big screen ones (660,2798, 770) all have camera inputs. The small garmin are not much good for RVs and the screen would be smaller than your radio anyway.

Nope, I have the 660, no backup camera, the 770 can only use the Garmin proprietary wireless camera as does the 2798. I don't think there is a Garmin GPS that you can plug a wired backup camera into.

I have my 770 plugged into the rear camera in my 2016 Axis and it works fine. You need a garmin cable to make it work. It has to be this cable. I tried a bunch and this is the only one that worked for me. Bought it on eBay. If you want the camera to appear on both the radio and gos at the same time you can purchase a splitter cable but I did not find it worth while.

Could you post a link to this monitor?
