Keep the rear camera on. Then using the directional so the volume won't fade. In my coach anyway. Tom

Since we tow a dinghy and want the camera on we have learned to live with no radio. That said sometimes for no reason at all it will start working with the camera on and there seems to be no way to adjust the volume under that occurrence.

The radio system was built for a rear view camera with a microphone in it. When camera active wire to the radio is triggered by the camera combiner box, it mutes the radio and turns up the volume so you can listen to the camera's microphone. The radio is not smart enough to know you don't have a mic in the side view cameras. I don't think the later coaches have a rear camera with microphone, either.

We connected our XM radio to the rear AUX IN inputs and ran a cable to the VIDEO SWITCH box under the dash cover. That way we have tunes and a constant rear view camera (or side view when the turn signals are operational) with full volume control.
