There are a lot of good dry camping spots in the area as you are in the colville national forest. If you want hook ups there is actually a thousand trails/ KOA at little diamond which ia really nice. We always do one trip up there a year. Nice and wooded. There is the little lake a pond really. But if you have a vehicle you can get to the bigger diamond lake. Newport ia probably 25 mins north of it.

We were there a year ago and could see the comet from the campground. That was in our old SOB trailer. Here's us down the hill at Dos Picos County Park last March.

Since then we've been to Anza-Borrego, Acton, Pinnacles, Bass Lake, Pine Grove (Sierra foothills), Placerville, Moss Landing (Monterey Bay), and Cachuma Lake. Trip #7 starts a week from Thursday.

This is where we camp just outside Newport. My cousins front yard at the family farm.

Well friends....I told you this was coming...we sold our Axis about 5 weeks ago...and bought a Scamp towed by your Jeep TJ. With Rons issues, and encouragement from family...we downsized and are staying closer to home, when going down the road. ONE of our favorite, nearby, campgrounds is here in town at the Missouri River . Surprisingly, the adjustment to 13' is not that bad...we spend our time outdoors anyway...sleeping and breakfast...nice and easy ! We have come full circle !

Very nice. We were just in Meridian ID last week fir the Snake River Stampede in Nampa. We go every year. As soon as the grandkids are older we want to move there. What a great area.
