We dry camped at Douglas County Lake, KS this past weekend...and rushed home to be in the sweet spot of the eclipse at our home...only to get disappointed by Mother Nature...heavy cloud cover and rain ! However, it was unique to witness total darkness at 1:09PM 8/21/17 !!! and we recorded that segment with our GoPro !

On the Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia. We have not seen one Axis or Vegas since we entered Canada three weeks ago.

We spent four nights in Binder State Park campground. This is a no-frills camping area with full services (water, 50, 30, and 20 amp. electrical service, and sewerage connections) picnic table and shelter. Paved RV parking. $20 a night.
We toured the Jefferson City, MO area on the motorcycle, rock collected and did some geocaching.

You are close to my old neck of the woods - St. John's, Newfoundland. Got to get a ferry there though.
With the price of gas in Canada, especially the maritime provinces, you will not see very many motor homes at all.

I am from Albuquerque...as a kid, we spent a lot of time in the Red River area..We are planning on a trip to Eagles Nest area next summer.

Last weekend overnighter at Deer Creek State Park in Utah. Still getting our feet wet and camping close to home. Cooked our first meal in the rig and got a bed topper so we can get a decent nights sleep. Will be staying here again in a few weeks for a nearby family event.
$38/night, 30/50 Amp, Sewer, Water & Fishing.
