I'm going to be all over that ice cream recipe!
One year at Boy Scout Camp, I started making that ice cream. People started bringing cans, ice, salt, cream, duck tape, etc. I think I finally said "No more" about 1am.

An eminently practical solution.

Well it didn't take this thread long to run into the ditch, did it! Started out talking about camping recipes and wound up basically cooking road kill in 6-8 posts or so...

Like every other forum. Thread is about guns. 4 posts in you are talking about Kubota tractors.

Campfire bread

Long sticks or long s’mores skewers
Can of pillsbury biscuit dough
Stick of melted butter in a saucepan
Quart baggie of cinnamon sugar

Grab a bit of dough and roll it between your palms into a snake, wrap it around your stick or skewer.
Roast it til golden brown and puffy
Slide off stick into the butter
Remove and drop into bag of cinnamon sugar: shake
Remove and eat.
😋

Very nice idea!
How long do they normally take to cook?

Oh it depends on how much of a dough chunk you have. Keep it a thin snake and I’d say about 5-6 min. And once you have one of these, the next one you make even though it only takes five or six minutes to cook through is going to seem like about five hours because your mouth will be watering for the next one LOL

Don't think I've ever cooked one "done". Really good when they are still doughy.

Let it catch fire! Put it out with beer. It makes everything taste better!
