How did a discussion of CW swerve into talk of the President?

I make friends with the service manager and he told me I will take care
of those who purchased from us first, you second. But they did the
warranty work I needed in reasonable time.

But there are always problems with getting paperwork processed in any
sale. We won the bid on a 2018 Keystone Cougar 5th wheel (6 month
old) that Bank of America had gotten as a owner release (guy was getting
a divorce) and we are three months into this waiting for them to get a
clear title to sell it to us. But I have not put out any $$$ yet.

I've heard of homes that go to auction taking 6 plus months to get title?

Out here in Grand Junction there supposedly IS a Thor facility, Transwest Rv. they are the best in town, so I've heard. I did get an extended warranty for $$$, but the dlr has the wrong vin and it's been almost 2 mo. and hasn't been corrected.

CW

Supporting Trump will help our country and us RV'ers more than CW ever will.

I think this is what the problem is most of the time. They are selling something they don't own and dont have the cash flow to cover. I had this problem on the last two that I have bought. It took three months to get the paperwork but it finally gets done.

I’m not really sure why you’d make some assumption that somehow CW operates any differenlty than any other dealer - all RVs are ordered and PAID FOR before they are delivered - no factory provides ‘credit’.
Some dealers may have some type of ‘floor planning’ credit, as in the car industry, but that’s something totally different, and doesn’t impact who ‘owns’ the RV.

I imagine that your issues with and title or ownership documents lie more at the hands of government entities, who are in no rush.

It has EVERYTHING to do with who owns the RV by who holds the MSO, thus the RV. I'm sure all their arrangements are different between dealers but most every vehicle retailer has a "floor plan" where a bank "owns" the collateral and they hold the MSO until they are paid off. It's the same thing as a Title.

Not sure if political discussions are allowed or not--the sysadmins seem to be pretty lenient and only close threads when they get too far out of hand.

Having said that, however, how soon do you think a political thread will get out of hand? 1 reply? 2 replies? I strongly think political topics should be kept off the Thor forums here--there are a million other places on the internet to go to shout at each other, why pollute this one?

You think the gun threads get out of hand???!

You nailed it on the head pertaining to the MSO. At least that was the excuse Camping World gave me when it took three months to get my license plates for my new Hurricane. CW told me that Thor retains the MSO until they are sold. Then they are supposed to overnight them to the selling dealers. The selling dealer can then do an application for title and the subsequent registration. Normally this takes a couple of days as DMV runs titles on a regular basis. The holder of the MSO is the owner of the coach until a title is processed.

I think that if you have a bill of sale and have paid for the coach that any court will agree that you own it. If somebody else has the paper on it that’s a different problem - a paperwork processing problem. Notwithstanding, it IS a pretty big problem and it’s one that nobody but you has much motivation to solve.
