Is Camping World Being Re-Branded?
While watching the twin 150 qualifiers for Daytona: I saw Marcis Lemonis talking about "Gander RV", and they had some ads during the races.
I found this; while looking around the Internet this morning:

Is this a new entity? Or will the Camping World locations all be re-named?

I dont think so.... I been getting emails and flyers sent to my home from Camping World with coupons for Overtons Boat, Ganders and a few other. I think CW did some purchasing over the last few years to broaden their porfolio.

GANDER RV will simply be another shopping option for RV and Motorhome buyers, as these stores were purchased several years ago, with this in mind, to give buyers other options and brands...in a similar shopping experience to Camping World, owned by the same corporation.
Gander was under pressure to sell or go into bankruptcy, and ML saw the opportunity to buy existing large footprint stores, with large parking lots, usually right off the interstates, in very visable locations, on existing prime property, and with existing product inventory that correlates easily with the outdoor/rv experience... it makes sense.
They probably will also carry some different lines and brands from the typical Camping World 'competition' close by...
Newmar and Tiffin come to mind.
This also gives them the ability to shift customers from the newly combined BassProShops/Cabella brand, since they rarely sell anything other than fishing boats and water toys.
ML will readily admit, like he did on this past edition of 'the Profit' on CNBC, that CW is his biggest investment. And, with the huge increase in RV sales over the last several years, probably also his biggest profit.

After a little bit more digging: my old dealership (Kingston Camping World), is being listed as a "location" on the Gander RV website.
It seems that there will be a bunch of "cross-pollination" occurring.

Renaming it to the "No Service Here" RV Store???
We had a Gander Mountain that was built nearby and was open for less than 6 months before they closed it when Gander Mountain went into bankruptcy. A couple of months ago, the building got new signage that said Gander Outdoors, but it sat that way and never opened. Just last week I noticed that the signage had been taken off the building. So I'm guessing they decided to eat the lease/payments on an empty building.
Last year our local REI took over a Sports Authority building made available by their bankruptcy. The Gander Mountain building is much closer to me. Maybe they can open another one?

I think I will apply for the QC guy.....Show up late, leave early, look around a little and show about 50 Hurricanes and 25 Axis "passed" with flying colors.
"Boy we sure do build good RV's.... Are you guys ready for lunch"....
Or "Hey man...What do we do?".... "Da... I dont know....lets take another nap in the new RV way over there".

An ta think years ago I thought if I bought a new RV that I wouldn't have to do all the work I did on my vehicle and my home when they were new. 'New' means no repairs or work for awhile right? And how difficult could it be to use an RV? Oh well. New set of rules.

I don’t have any connections to or with CampingWorld, other than being a long time, happy customer. I’ve never had a problem with them or their products, that wasn’t taken care of.

CW isn't a bad chain although anytime you go there for service, it's a long long wait as it is to get parts and then fix whatever  needs fixing. A thought....if they're so busy as it appears, wouldn't it be a good idea to take care of one business before taking over others???
