Can the Ford F150 Lightning be toad?

I am intrigued by the all electric F150 that was announced yesterday. Has anyone heard if an e-vehicle like that be flat towed? That would be a cool vehicle behind a motorhome.

Ford hasn't said anything about that yet. Probably won't know until they release the owner's manual (I would guess about a year out for that).

To date no EV can be flat towed. FWD ones (Chevy Bolt, Kona, Leaf, etc.) can usually be dolly towed (we dolly towed our Bolt quite a bit).

(There have been a few Mach-E owners in the Mach-E owner's forum pushing Ford to make it flat towable but I doubt anything will come of that.)

Dolly towing is a pain (PITA) so hopefully the lightning will be flat towable. Since they are direct drive at the wheels there may not be a neutral. I just don't know much about e vehicles. I do know that electric motors spin pretty freely without power to them. I can spin the drum on my clothes drier when it is off. Do you have the ability to coast your Bolt?

Well don't have the Bolt anymore (Lease ran out, now have a Mach-E).

Depends on the motor technology used by the EV. Some can freewheel and some will generate a current all the time (like a permanent magnet motor will always generate a current but an induction motor won't).

This will all be sorted out before it actually hits the showroom floors.
Patience...
