carbon monoxide alarm thingy

this morning as we slept sound and warm, around 3 am ish we suddenly awake to the bedroom carbon monoxide alarm screaming and howling.

after the heart stopped jumping and the dog stopped jumping on me, i pulled out the batteries to make it stop.

we had ZERO devices running that emit carbon monoxide.

so when i got up a few hours later i put in new batteries and it freaked out again.

i removed it and saw a sticker on the back...replace by 2017

i checked the front smoke alarm and it had the same replace date.

so off i go to lowes and get and new combo unit for bedroom and a new smoke alarm for the front lounge.

got the one with ten year battery and lifespan///
i am betting i will still be around

cracks me up..

Good to hear you tell the tale!
Myself, I would not be too concerned about the expiry date, but lucky enough it died first, that gave dang good enough reason to do the swap-outs.

Stay cool
