30ish Foot Class A and Competition

I'm sure there has been threads about Thor and other brands but I'm speaking more about the 29-33 foot Class A's (around $100k), specifically the Hurricane/Windsport vs competition. I've done a lot of research including Forest River, Winnebago, and Jayco.

Does anyone have any opinions on a Class A from either of these manufacturers? I do like the Thor's, especially the interior finishes, but it seems Jayco may have a slight edge on build quality above them all??? Am I right???

Thanks
Nic

You know Jayco is owned by Thor now too.

This looks like their answer to the Vegas access line. https://m.winnebagoind.com/products/...erior/graphics

Loving our 2018 Hurricane 31S. On our 5th month with it with only very minor issues. Hard to beat the Hurricane line when comparing value, features, and utility.

Thanks for your reply. I looked at several models and I continue to find the same 'issues' I don't like.

For example, I want an undermount sink in the kitchen, non plastic sink in the bathroom, queen to King bed with nightstands on each side, TV mounted directly across from seating, non ugly brown inside (seriously, I don't understand why everyone is still making ugly interiors). The Hurricane, in my opinion, is on a different level than its' competition in the price range.

We've had our 29M Windsport for about 1 1/2 years now and love it and the floor plan.

We"ve had the Hurricane 32A since 2014, lived in it for 3 winter's plus shorter summer trips... Last winter being 5 months as we sold our house up north and moved south.

The floorplan has worked well for us... The U shaped dinnette, 2 slides...

I think all the manufacturer's have quality issues.... I'd go by the floorplan and deal you can get.

This is our second Thor... I knew what to look for what to check out, and has worked well. A few items found at delivery were quickly addressed.

They still seemingly refuse to put a large shower in their units. That's one of the things that drew us to the Vegas/ACE (went with ACE) was that they had far larger showers than other coaches in the same size from other manufacturers.

If mine was destroyed tomorrow, Monday I would be in the car headed to MHSRV to buy another Hurricane 31S. In 15,000 miles with 4 months of full timing while were moving to San Antonio, no real problems. The three minor problems were fixed in about 90 minutes at MHSRV just before it were out of warranty.

We have the Windsport 31S love the floor pan and the coach. We upgraded from the Vegas and are enjoying the extra room.

I do. Prefer the overhead bunk on the Vegas (wouldn't have used it to sleep, but planned to put some dog pens and other stuff up there, possibly lock things up).

In the end, since we will sometimes be traveling with two large poodles, I opted to go for the extra space. I think the Vegas, especially the '18, is a little more upscale looking inside, as it's been more recently updated, but overall in our couple weeks of ownership, we love it. We are heading up to Branson for the week on Monday.

Take a look at the Windsport 35M. Has 2 bathrooms also. Huge amount of storage. Handles beautiful.

I’d buy a Winnebago Vista, but that just me. I’m not sure but I think the new Winnebago Intents might have European cabinets (I.e. not brown).
