I'm in the process of purchasing a 2017 Challenger LX...would already have it if FedEx would get off their ass and deliver the check! Anyway as we were getting a walk around I noticed that the exhaust for the generator cuts right across where the opening is for the rear dump. How's the exhaust pipe run under everyone else's coach? I think I'm going to have to get a new pipe put on before I take delivery. I forgot to take a picture or I would post it.

Hi Huck. That's the same year and model of ours, but I don't have that conflict. The gennie exhaust is not at all in the way of the rear dumps. So possibly the dealer can make a simple adjustment to it before you take possession. In any case, whatever it takes, obviously you shouldn't accept the rig like that. Send a pic if you get a chance, and I can take one showing mine.

Hi Huck, on our 37LX, the hose clears the generator exhaust but will touch it if the sewer hose is pulled tight. I'm thinking about making a little heat shield for the gen exhaust in case it hose accidentally touches the exhaust. Hasn't really been an issue yet.

Here are a couple of pictures of the generator exhaust pipe under the rear sewage dump hole.

Well I'll be... just went and looked at mine. It's not quite as centered on the discharge access hole as yours looks to be, but it's certainly right there. If my generator were runnng and the exhaust pipe was hot enough, that could melt my sewer hose. How did I not notice this when I dumped it?
Now I'm wondering what to do about it.

It looks to me like a new longer exhaust pipe is needed, so that it will be farther to the rear behind that port. It's a very nice mandrel bent pipe, but they just bent it in the wrong place.

I also have a 2017 Challenger LX and I have the same problem with the exhaust pipe. I've been thinking of bringing it up next time I'm in the shop for warranty issues. Though, to date, it hasn't been a huge problem. I haven't had the opportunity to run the generator at the same time that I'm using the sewer hose.

We also have a 2017 Challenger 37LX. It's amazing to me how different the exact same coach and year can be. Our exhaust is about 4-5 inches away from the sewer hose. Close, but hopefully not a problem.

I see that yours is in front of the port. I'm hoping when they go to fix mine that they give me a whole new pipe that goes to the rear of the port. I hope they don't try to just bend the pipe that's on there more so that it's in front of the port, because for one it would make the pipe almost straight out instead of being angled and two if I wanted to Y the front and rear ports together for one drain it would bring that hose right up on that exhaust again.
