Camping national parks

Looking at the Synergy or Seista Sprinter. Both under 26 feet. Any problems with national parks! I've read 24 feet is best.

I've only had my 26ft Freedom Elite for less than a year so maybe I'm not an expert but I've had no problems finding good spaces in any state or national parks. Good luck

Never had a problem getting into any National Park or campground. Some roads in national parks are restricted to vehicles under 25 feet.

We have not had any problems at National Parks ... remember to make reservations if you are going at popular times of the year.

I have a Four Winds 26B and I've camped at Bryce Canyon and other parks with plenty of room. I'm 29 1/2 feet bumper to bumper. I love the layout of the 26B (which is the same as an FE 26).

I think it was at Mesa Verde National Park in Co. that they have a drop off lot for trailers and coaches over 25 feet. Thats if you want to drive around the park. The campground took all sizes.

The most restricted road I'm aware of is Going-to-the-sun Road in Glacier National Park.

This is very unusual, but vehicles are limited to 21 feet in length, 10 feet in height, and 8 feet in with including mirrors. Technically that rules out even most camper vans.

Other than this road which I wasn't able to cross because it wasn't fully open yet, I've only been limited at National Parks a couple of times for driving RVs up to 30 feet.

When traveling in our 20-foot van I do feel a greater sense of freedom. In one NP there was an area that didn't allow motorhomes, but there were quite a few van-size campers no longer than pickup trucks that were allowed to enter.

I just visited all the national parks in Utah as well as several in Colorado,Arizona and New Mexico!
The only problems I incurred were at Arches because the lots were full at some of the trailhead sand overlooks. Also as mentioned above Mesa Verde doesn't allow vehicle over 25 ft on the road to Long House.
Other than those two incidents, I've not had problems with my 26.5 ft Axis!
