Coach Battery Issues?

Hi everyone, just bought a 2017 Class C Four Winds and love it. One problem we are having is battery life when not connect to land line. Seems to die quickly. Just charged battery for two days and get "Fully Charge Battery" reading from Charger. Yet when the battery charger is disconnected, the LED lights come on strong, go dim, brighten up again, go dim,......

The farm boy in me says that looks like a bad battery problem. Since this is the first RV we have owned, just want to make sure I am not missing something. Any advice?

Thanks

The only way to really know is to take them out and have them tested to be sure. If they are the original batteries most likely they are bad at this point. I had to change out my two coach batteries from my 2018 Thor Siesta in Dec. 2019. The batteries were dated 2017 when they were installed during the build.

If they are the original batteries they are likely in need of replacement. We have a 2018 Four Winds and the batteries lasted 2 seasons and failed.

Get them tested but don’t be surprised if they need replacing. Lots of people blame Thor for using “crap batteries” but I believe the actual issue is that virtually all RVs are several to many months old when they are purchased. Few dealers maintain either the house or chassis batteries properly and the neglect doesn’t kill them immediately but does shorten their life. Mine failed on our first trip and were replaced under warranty.
