Coax connection
I have a 2020 29kw. There is a coax connection in the cabinet above the chairs that I’m not sure what it is for. Normally it’s for satellite connection but there is no designated locations on the roof for a dish.
I called customer support and they say my coach doesn’t appear to be wired for satellite and they are not sure about the connection.
Has anyone had an issue like this?
Thanks.

Do you have a Winegard Connect 2 on the roof. It is a small round enclosure similar but smaller than a satellite antenna. It is a combination wifi router, cell antenna and broadcast TV antenna. it could be the coax for that.
Otherwise it could simply be a cable to the outside coax cable connector.

I do have the Winegard2. I can’t find any directions to hook up anything to it. The outside connection for cable works fine like it is. Thanks for the reply

Generally that coax connector is to connect a DVD player and feed the output to all TVs.

DVD players do not connect by coax. Audio/video RCA or HDMI.

I have a HDMI for the DVD. Strange Thor can’t tell me. Thanks

Yup. What Beau says. My wire is above the microwave.

You have a coax to HDMI adapter to go from the coax connection to the HDMI on the DVD?

Not sure. I’ve never pulled the rolled up bundle of wires out to look.

I miss spoke sorry. The box in question is a digital converter box or a digital video recorder and not a digital video disk player.
A digital converter box down converts HDTV signals for use with standard and enhanced TVs. It includes both an onscreen electronic program guide and a remote for easy surfing. It also reads video and audio from the USB drive for playing recordings of your favorite shows.

Ours has two "combo" coax/HDMI receptacles... one in a cabinet above the entry door (to which the over-cab TV is connected), and another in the bedroom TV area. The coach exterior coax connector is wired to the two interior coax connectors in those receptacles.
In the cabinet above the entry door, there is a small "HDMI distribution box" with one HDMI input, and four HDMI outputs - two of which are wired to the aforementioned combo receptacles.
The idea is to plug in a DVD player or Fire stick - or any HDMI video source - into the distribution box input. That video signal will then be fed to the other two TV HDMI receptacles. So by switching the "video source" in the TV's settings, you get either coax-fed or HDMI-fed video.

i finally ran a dedicated coax from my portable satellite to the cabinet above the chairs. I have one small distribution box with one input. I plugged in a HDMI splitter and plugged the DVD and satellite box into that. I can use either for the main tv but can’t watch the DVD or satellite outside or in the bedroom. I get cable or over the air on all tv’s
I hooked up a coax to the outside connection and to a portable satellite and hooked the connection the cabinet above the chairs to the satellite box. It recognized my box but would not find the satellites. Dish thinks it’s because of the coax splitter in the house wiring.
I’ll just live with this for now. Thanks to all
