Condensation/mold

Hello All,
I just purchased a 2016 FE 22 with only 1,800 miles on it. I've used it for one trip and started noticing a moldy smell. I found that the over cab bunk, where the wall meets the bunk floor under the TV, had a small amount of mold on it. I cut open the wall about 4'' up and also removed 6" of the bunk floor. There was a small section of mold behind the wall board about 3/4 of an inch up from the bunk floor. I assumed that I had a leak somewhere in the roof or side wall, so I spent over an hour in it during a rain storm with a garden hose running into any seem that could produce a leak. I used a $20,000 Thermal imaging camera that is so sensitive, you can see a single water drop on the floor. I had absolutely no leaks. What I did notice was a small amount of condensation on the metal frame on the unit where I removed the wall board. There large metal reinforcement in the wall where the TV mounts. Just below this is where the mold was. Has anyone had this issue? If so, how do you keep the frame from getting condensation on it?

Thanks

High humidity in a stored coach or trailer is a huge issue

Dessicant or a humidifier can be used

The moisture you have could have been due to improper usage or storage

Exhaust fan is a must for long hot showers

The metal frame TV support could be "sweating" when the a/c is on. There is a product called Armaflex tape. Its basically a foam self adhesive insulation tape. 1/8" tk x 2" wide x 30'. Runs around $16 for a roll. A cpl pieces of A tape over the metal bracket will keep it from sweating. I keep a roll of A tape in my MH. It can be used to stop jiggling sliding glass windows, (shove it in the channel) fill gaps at the screen door, all kinds of misc uses, ranks right there with duct tape and a coil of wire in the tool kit.
