Broken brake buddy

We’re headed over the continental divide and then the pass...
Thor Axis 24.1 pulling Jeep Wrangler.
Can the RV do it using the tow haul button and it’s own brakes?
We always go slow anyway.

Exclamation

I'd be inclined to either get the Brake Buddy repaired, or replace it. With the mountains involved, I'd want all the braking power I can get.

Good Luck!

When driving in hilly areas, towing a trailer, carrying a heavy load, etc., and frequent transmission shifting occurs, push the TOW/HAUL switch to activate TOW/HAUL mode. This will improve performance and reduce the potential for transmission overheating or failure due to excessive shifting.

I always use the tow haul in hilly areas.

I wouldn’t tow my wrangler across Kansas without its braking system! I use my Tow/Haul mode in the mountains and I think it’s a big help. Your coach will do fine in the Rockies. You’ll be in the truck lane going up the long passes but it’s all part of the journey. Enjoy your trip.
